If you want to recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome using mind-body healing techniques, you have to be ready for many uncomfortable things. Many people are probably not ready for the path I advise to take, but I think they will not even stumble upon this page. The saying “When the student is ready, the teacher appears” is true. No one can be taught unless s/he is ready to learn. I do not want to sound like I´m a teacher who knows everything. I am just someone who has been persistent enough to recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome on his own, without any medications or expensive treatments. The teacher is your own Self. All the knowledge is in yourself already, waiting to be discovered, listened to and learned from. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a huge lesson that contains a lot of small lessons. Are you ready to learn? You can start the course today! Here´s what you´ll probably have to go through if you take this path:

You have to start paying attention to your symptoms to see what is causing them.

You have to really experience all of your negative emotions that may surface once you start pay attention to your symptoms.

You have to be ready to learn the truth about your symptoms – why are they here, what is your body trying to tell you? This may be very uncomfortable as the body may be trying to get your attention about stuff you have swept “under the carpet,” stuff that you´d rather not know about, experience, think of, or let alone, deal with. But you´ll probably have to.

You have to become sensitive to your symptoms and welcome them with open arms to understand their message.

You may have to start speaking up for yourself in situations and with people you find threatening.

You may have to start doing things you really love doing, but haven´t been because of fear or some limiting beliefs.

You probably have to let go a lot of grudges you hold by forgiving the persons involved in your traumas.

You probably have to get out of your comfort zone and do things you wouldn´t normally do.

You have to look at your life critically and make important changes.

You have to be willing to change your beliefs about being sick and being healthy.

You must do away with ALL negative beliefs like “I don´t deserve good health” and “It´s impossible to recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.”

You probably have to negotiate with family, friends and loved ones about your own time and space.

You will probably have to experience a lot of pain and unpleasant emotions in this process.

You may have to find a new meaning for your life and possibly change your direction.

And last, but not least, you have to be humble to “understand” what your body wants you to do and then do it.

The list could probably go on as there are many small changes you will likely need to make if you decide to walk towards recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome on the path of mind-body healing.

Luckily there is a lot of information and support available. You can read books, attend therapy sessions, and talk to others who are going through or have been through a similar experience. But you still need to do at least some of those things. There is no escape from work with yourself and your symptoms. Are you ready to take this journey?

I bet you are, or you wouldn´t even have read this blog post.

This blog is meant for people who are ready to do all of the above and more. It is focused on giving you information, inspiration and encouragement by which to proceed on your healing journey. You can purchase my book to read about my recovery story (and what you need to do to recover) in detail, or you can read a couple of more blog posts to see if this approach is for you. Recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is definitely possible, and that is my main message. If you believe it´s possible and are willing to do whatever it takes to regain your health, it is very likely to happen.
